Riley County commissioners approve multiple contracts, license and personnel actions

During the Board of Health session, Health Director Diane Krieg requested authority to open and fill a new, budgeted medical billing and coding specialist position (approved in the 2026 budget). Krieg said the pay range will be $23.67–$25.73 per hour depending on qualifications and that hiring could begin on or after the county's fiscal year start on Dec. 20, 2025. The commission moved and voted to open the position and begin recruitment.
