The Pawtucket Finance Committee on the record approved a resolution authorizing tax abatements for motor vehicles, real estate and tangible personal property for April, May and June 2025 totaling $10,192.45.
Councilor Rubio moved to take up the item and Councilor Moran seconded; the motion was approved unanimously. During discussion a staff member noted an earlier misstatement of the amount in the initial reading of the resolution and explained the corrected total.
A staff member said the correction included a duplicate billing that affected Johnson Tyler Realty, LLC and that the office sent two bills for the same account, requiring an adjustment. "Johnson Tyler Realty, LLC," the staff member said when asked for the account name. The staff member offered to answer further questions about any specific entries.
Council members then voted on the resolution. The roll call recorded affirmative votes and the measure passed 3–0.
The committee had no additional business and adjourned.
