Resident urges Lake Forest to address parking, overlapping field use at Tamarisk Park

"There are currently less than two dozen spots," Sean Fletcher said during public comment, adding that some modest re‑landscaping could add more spaces but that Little League often fills the lot. Fletcher, who identified himself as a 23‑year resident and a current volunteer for Little League, said he has seen as many as three RVs or oversized vehicles occupying curb and lot spaces because the city removed a ban on such parking in 2009.
He urged the commission to work with the Traffic and Parking Commission and city staff to strike a balance between permitted field rentals and neighborhood use, and said residents can submit complaints through the city's Ask Lake Forest (ALF) customer service system. Deputy City Manager McGovern told Fletcher staff would follow up on the specific issues he raised and report back to the commission.
