During routine business the commission conducted nominations and votes for leadership and administrative items.

A commissioner nominated Dr. Boggs to serve as 2026 chair; the nomination was seconded and the motion passed. Commissioner Olsen nominated Commissioner Bridal for vice chair; that nomination was seconded and approved.

The commission then considered and unanimously approved the Parks and Recreation Commission meeting calendar for 2026 after a motion by Commissioner Munoz and a second by Commissioner Olsen. The minutes for 11/12/2025 were moved, seconded and approved, and the consent calendar (items 7.1 and 7.2) was enacted in one motion and approved without items removed for separate consideration.

Chair Bass closed the meeting at 07:07 and announced the next commission meeting on Tuesday, January 13 at 6 PM.
