The Pharr International Bridge Board voted to ask the City of Pharr to approve the issuance and sale of international toll-bridge system revenue bonds to fund DAP 16 projects, trustees said during the Nov. 19 meeting.
Bridge Director Luis Bassan explained the request was made under the board’s bylaws and bond covenants and emphasized the measure is intended to cover DAP 16 project costs, not upgrades to the toll system. Jameson from finance was present to answer technical questions. The motion to forward the request was made by Mister Martinez, seconded by Mister Reyes, and carried by the board.
