Natrona County commissioners voted to approve TA25-01, a text amendment to the county’s 2022 zoning resolution intended to resolve inconsistencies, clarify language and provide administrative flexibility.
Planning staff (Sabrina) said the amendment was published for a 45-day public comment period and was reviewed by multiple agencies, including County Fire, Road and Bridge, legal and planning staff. Staff said the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval at its November meeting and that no written or verbal public comments were received during the county hearing.
Commissioners discussed the purpose of the change and staff emphasized this is a working, living document designed for periodic updates rather than a rezoning. Among specific clarifications staff cited was allowing certain small-scale uses (for example, chickens) in zone districts adjacent to city limits where current text was inconsistent. Commissioner Milne moved to approve TA25-01; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote.
Staff said a broader update to subdivision regulations and a land-use plan update are under way and will come to the board in subsequent months.
