Catalyst Academy principal invites families to "Healthy Minds, Healthy Hearts" mental-health forum

Donna Swavy, principal of the Catalyst Academy at 183 Steel Street, used public participation time to invite residents to "Healthy Minds, Healthy Hearts," a community forum on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the New Britain Boys & Girls Club, 150 Washington St. "Families will also have a chance to ask questions and to share their experiences or concerns," she said.
Swavy listed partner organizations that will staff resource tables, including the Community Health Center; Community Mental Health Affiliates; Cornerstone Counseling; Klingberg Family Centers; Wheeler Health; Carillon; and the Hospital for Special Care. She said the YWCA had requested to add a table later that evening. The event will include light refreshments, free childcare and translation services, and will be livestreamed.
