District reports turf repair and new scoreboard installation timeline

On athletic facilities, Speaker 2 said trenching for a new power line to a softball scoreboard was finished last week, and the scoreboard is being delivered and offloaded for storage until installers arrive. Speaker 2 said poles will be set and the district-provided power will be connected by installers, with completion likely by the end of the month.
Speaker 3 and others asked about estimated remaining turf life; Speaker 2 replied the turf likely has "2 to 3 years" of life left. The committee discussed field leaks at Buckeye, the high school and other sites and agreed to keep monitoring and include athletic fields in maintenance planning.
