Community village reports no safety findings, plans $20,000 food-procurement savings and new dysphagia diet rollout

Britney said the facility will adopt the International Dysphagia Diet (IDC) beginning Jan. 1 to meet recognized dysphagia-management standards and has posted for CNA positions while working with a staffing partner (CSSA) to assist with hiring and training costs. She also announced a Giving Tree program for residents that will be promoted on Facebook and local radio prior to Thanksgiving.
On infection control, the administrator reported a single staff-member code/outbreak issue that did not expand and credited the director of nursing/infection-preventionist for effective containment and new implementation steps. The administrator said some regulatory changes require continuing education (CEU) attendance and noted she would be out of the office for required conference training.
The committee did not take specific funding votes tied directly to these items during the meeting; the updates were presented for informational and operational planning purposes.
