The Schuylkill Valley School District board approved several routine administrative and financial items during its meeting.
The board authorized the business office to process bills for payment through Dec. 24, 2025, with the list of processed bills to be presented at the January 2026 meeting for ratification.
Under personnel matters the board approved two extracurricular coaching hires for the 2025–26 year (subject to required clearances and contracts): John Chop White as junior‑high head wrestling coach ($6,900) and Tanner White as junior‑high assistant coach ($2,430). The superintendent said these were the final hires for the wrestling program.
The board also authorized district staff to submit the Sterling Act tax credit certification for calendar year 2024 by the Dec. 15 PDE deadline and delegated submission authority to the business office; the exact credit amount will be provided by the tax collector and ratified at the January meeting.
Finally, the board consolidated earlier nominations for items 10.1–10.4 (representatives and alternates to external committees and authorities) into a single motion and approved them by voice vote.
All motions reported in these administrative items passed by unanimous voice vote (recorded as 9–0 where tallies were cited).
