Salem — The Salem School Committee on Dec. 1 took several procedural and fiscal actions, each approved by roll-call votes where required.

The committee adopted the meeting agenda after a motion by Member Cornell, seconded by Member Campbell. During the meeting the consent agenda (minutes from prior meetings, donations, and warrants) was moved by Member Cruz and seconded by Member Miranda; the committee approved the consent agenda by roll call.

Later the committee considered and approved a request for budget transfers (to stipend lines for safety-care, multilingual tutors, Bentley stipends, and music contracted services) on a motion by Member Campbell, seconded by Member Cornell. A roll-call vote recorded unanimous approval.

The committee also approved a second reading of several policies (AA, AC, ACR, ACA, ACE and ADC) on a motion by Member Cornell, seconded by Member Campbell; roll-call votes were unanimous.

The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that passed unanimously by roll call.
