Sarah, representing the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce, gave the board a monthly update on the chamber's activities and membership. She said the chamber welcomed 11 new members since the last update and that the year's new-member total stands at 99 with the goal of reaching 100 soon. The chamber is preparing a printed and digital community guide and directory that is mailed to residents and distributed to members, and it launched a new community calendar highlighting chamber events, local history, and America 250 commemorations.
Sarah said the chamber partnered with a local provider to offer a leadership and civility workshop for village staff and businesses, hosted ribbon cuttings and a "Shop and Mingle" event to promote small businesses, and will resume monthly lunch meetings in January. She asked the village to continue sharing business-related updates for chamber distribution and said the chamber is exploring college partnerships for internships and workforce development.
Board members thanked Sarah and the chamber for community collaboration and event support.
