Board members then debated whether to hold committee meetings on the same night as board meetings or to split them across two nights. Supporters of keeping two nights said it provides more time for discussion before voting; others noted the option to use a committee-of-the-whole approach. The board conducted a roll-call-style vote on the proposed schedule and recorded member positions before adopting the schedule that will be used going forward.
Committee rosters were filled by volunteer board members. Committees named during the meeting included academic affairs, building and grounds, budget and finance, policy, human resources, and negotiations, with alternates discussed for several groups.
The board concluded the reorganization items and moved on to regular business.
