Colonial honors PWHS football and girls soccer for championship seasons

The Colonial School District board opened Thursday’s meeting with recognition of Plymouth-White Marsh High School’s athletic achievements.
Dr. Christian introduced the evening’s student recognitions and turned the presentation to Coach Day, who praised the football team’s resilience after a young season and outlined accomplishments that included a six-game winning streak, a playoff berth and a continuation of the program’s Suburban One American League success. Coach Day named managers and players invited for recognition and said the program will move to the Continental Conference next year to face larger nearby schools.
PWHS girls soccer head coach TJ Delusion detailed the team’s 14-3-1 regular-season record, a 9-1 league mark that earned the program its first league title since 2013, and noted individual honors including first-team all-league selections. Delusion said the team recorded 11 shutouts and advanced through a first-round playoff win before the season ended in a close, penalty-kick-decided match.
Board members and the superintendent offered brief congratulations and noted upcoming recognitions for fall and winter sports, including cross country and field hockey.
