At the Colonial School District board reorganization meeting, the board and district leaders recognized two championship teams from Plymouth White Marsh High School.
Field hockey coach Charice Haltsman thanked the board and recounted a season that began with a 0–3 start, a turning-point 2–1 overtime win over Quakertown, and a run that produced a 15–5 final record and an undefeated league stretch. Haltsman singled out senior Emily Dabrowski as Suburban One Liberty Division player of the year and named other players who earned first- and second-team honors. She also noted the season unfolded with the team carrying the memory of a teammate, Maddie Carr.
Coach Clarence Lewis addressed the board to celebrate the boys cross country team’s undefeated league season and the program’s first league championship in school history, naming seniors and key contributors and praising the athletes’ dedication. Both coaches thanked the district and the community for support.
Quotes from the meeting: Charice Haltsman said the season was "a true testament to the resilience of these athletes" after a pivotal overtime win; Clarence Lewis called the championship "truly historic" for the program.
The recognitions were ceremonial and no formal board policy changes accompanied the presentations. The board adjourned after offering congratulations.
