Staff also announced a community resource fair hosted by Congresswoman Patterson on Thursday from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center, offering health, housing, employment, legal and veteran resources. Several councilors used the elected-officials portion of the meeting to report community happenings including a ribbon-cutting for Wheat Ridge Meats and local theater events. The mayor reminded listeners that council will not meet next week for Thanksgiving and that council interviews for the District 3 appointment will take place at the next session.
Council reached consensus on the proposed clerk-appointment timeline and asked the city attorney to examine charter language about compensation changes during a term.
