"I'd like to suggest the addition of personal finance in k through sixth grade in addition to junior achievement," she said, adding that parents are often lacking skills to teach these topics at home.
Eller framed the proposal as fitting within the district’s comprehensive counseling and career readiness goals and suggested Central York could "become a trailblazer in personal finance." Her remarks were recorded in the public‑comment portion of the meeting; the board did not take direct action on the suggestion during the planning meeting and indicated follow‑up would occur if needed through superintendent or board channels.
