At the Nov. 25 meeting the board recognized Advanced Placement scholars from Coatesville Area School District. A district presenter (identified in the meeting as Mr. Changard) described the AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, and AP Scholar with Distinction categories and read the names of students who earned each honor.
The presenter said 22 current students were able to attend the meeting and that 33 students were recognized overall across last year's AP testing. "These students have demonstrated remarkable commitment, strong academic ability, and the perseverance required to excel in demanding courses," the presenter said.
Board members and the superintendent presented certificates and invited students and families to remain for a group photo. The presentation was ceremonial and required no board action.
