Staff asked for help decorating the vehicle and requested two volunteers to carry poles for the banner; commissioners volunteered to participate and bring family members where possible.
Parking: staff confirmed City Hall will provide parking spaces for parade participants but said spaces will not be individually reserved. Staff will circulate final vehicle dimensions and a staging email before the event. The parade begins at 5:30 p.m.; staff advised participants to arrive in the 4:00–5:00 p.m. window to prepare.
Next steps: staff will share vehicle details, volunteer sign‑ups and final logistics by email ahead of the Dec. 6 parade. The commission also noted the annual tree lighting event at Moonlight Beach the night before.
