At the Dec. 2 City Council meeting, Rick Ramirez, president of the Norwalk Lions Club for 2025–26, presented a $2,000 contribution to several city programs and asked that recipients report how funds are used.
Ramirez said the Lions Club returns 100% of its fundraising proceeds to the Norwalk community and described the allocations: $1,000 to the Hope Team (supporting unhoused residents), $500 to the public safety cadet program and $500 to the teen‑alliance teen center. He asked that staff or program leads provide reporting on fund usage so the club can continue to support effective programs.
Council thanked the Lions Club and recognized its long history of community support.
