TOMBALL, Texas — Public comment at Tuesday’s Tomball City Council meeting included civic congratulations, a pageant introduction and a complaint about late-night noise.
Bruce Hellageist, president and CEO of the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, thanked the city’s public-works, police, fire and EMS staff for support during the recent parade and introduced Elena Gasparini, who was crowned Miss Tomball 2026. Gasparini, a junior at Tomball Memorial High School, told the council she would encourage the community to "spread beauty" through everyday acts of kindness.
During community comment, Earl Chapman (address given in the record) described a recurring problem with a nearby venue’s loud bass and late-night music that he said disturbs nearby residents and medical-clinic patrons. Chapman said law enforcement had responded previously but the noise returned and requested further city action.
Announcements that followed included Tomball’s Holiday Heroes event (chief of police Jeff Burke said organizers expect roughly 118–130 children and 150 volunteers), a depot tree-lighting and a German Christmas market.
What’s next: The council closed public comments after the items and moved into consent business; noise enforcement and code-enforcement follow-up would require staff action outside this meeting.
