Don (staff) highlighted a new Tualatin River water-trail map, a collaboration with the National Park Service and Tualatin Riverkeepers noting the river is one of about 35 national water trails. He announced several calendar items: an annual holiday employee breakfast on Dec. 10, the Tualatin Lights Parade scheduled for Dec. 4–6, 2026, and a city-hosted housing forum and resource fair on Dec. 17 at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers focused on community housing challenges and local service providers.
Staff also reported operational updates: a pipeline project scheduled to be completed by December, and that the city has received its first municipal-court wedding booking for Dec. 18. Councilors reported on regional meetings: TriMet presented projected service cuts and a Washington County microtransit pilot was described as a 15-month on-demand test connecting several areas to transit hubs. Councilors urged follow-up briefings on regional transportation and noted ongoing work on Metro’s regional vision and economic development discussions.
No formal council actions were taken during communications; these items were presented for information and future follow-up.
