At its Dec. 2 co-curricular meeting, the Waunakee Community School District committee voted to forward a slate of new student club requests and routine sport co-op renewals to the full-board consent agenda for action on Monday.
A committee member moved to bring all club requests forward to the full board; another member seconded and the committee approved the motion by voice vote. Committee discussion noted this year’s volume of club proposals was higher than in some years and that many proposals depend on students finding an adult advisor.
The only club requesting funding at this stage was the writing club, which committee members said requested $200. Staff characterized most other club proposals as not carrying budget requests at this time. The committee also noted co-op renewals for girls hockey (Sun Prairie West as lead) and gymnastics will appear on the consent agenda.
Procedural motions recorded at the meeting included approval of the agenda and a final motion to adjourn; both were approved by voice vote. The committee adjourned after completing its business.
Actions recorded in the meeting minutes will be forwarded to the full board for formal consideration as part of the full-board consent agenda.
