Committee advances several policies to second reading and removes two redundant rules

Missus Hurst, chair of the policy subcommittee, presented the subgroup’s report and listed policies slated for first reading (for example, BGD, BHC, BIBA, CB, CH, CHCA, CHD, JBB) and those ready for second reading (including BDB, BDD, BDFA, BEDG, IGB, JLCD).
Missus Hurst moved to accept the listed policies for second reading; Miss Ward seconded the motion and the committee voted to advance the items. Hurst also moved to remove two policies (BDBB — duties of the vice chair; BDBC — duties of the secretary) identified as redundant; the second was recorded and the committee approved the removals.
The first‑reading items will return to the committee at a future meeting for formal votes. Committee members had no substantive objections to advancing the second‑reading items during Monday’s meeting.
