The Gardner Conservation Commission held a joint public hearing under MGL c.131, §40 on a Notice of Intent filed for work at 847 Green Street (map R 42211). Wesley Pushkin of McCarty Engineering reviewed responses to city-engineer and DEP comments and described changes to erosion-and-sediment controls, stormwater calculations and BMP placement.
Pushkin told the commission that he updated the stormwater report to meet required infiltration and TSS removal standards, said the project keeps stormwater BMPs out of Zone A and that a perennial stream lies substantially outside the immediate work area. Commissioners asked for a copy of the stormwater pollution prevention plan, clarification that the commission would only be certifying wetlands shown on the submitted plan, and additional paper and full-size drawings to better evaluate elevations and pipe tie-ins.
Because the DEP review and some requested plan updates were still outstanding, the commission voted to continue the hearing to January 12, 2026 so staff, the city engineer and DEP can review revised calcs and supporting documents.
