At its Dec. 2 meeting the North Ridgeville City School District board moved and approved several consent and personnel items by roll call.
Placement agreement: The board approved a district placement agreement with Trust the Journey Academy to provide specialized academic and related services aligned to a student’s individualized education plan, effective Dec. 1, 2025 through May 28, 2026. The motion to approve the education report (including the placement agreement) was moved and seconded and the roll call included recorded 'Yes' votes from Miss Daxon, Mister Grigsby, Mister Hanes and Mister Vaca.
Human resources: The board considered multiple human resources items — including support‑staff appointments, non‑NREA supplemental contracts, unpaid volunteer recognitions, resignations and adjustments — presented by Speaker 13. The items were approved on roll call; the transcript records affirmative votes from several board members during the human resources roll call.
Procedure and next steps: Several items presented that evening (the 2026–27 high school program of studies and the guaranteed maximum price amendment for the new high school) were first readings and will return for consideration at the board’s Dec. 16 meeting.
