The Clinton Town Board on Dec. 1 approved administrative procurement items including a highway materials vendor list and authorization to advertise sealed bids for NYSERDA-funded clean-energy upgrades at highway department buildings.
Speaker 5 introduced a resolution to approve a list of vendors for the 2026 highway materials bid, noting the vote approves vendors for purchase but does not authorize expenditures. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Separately, Speaker 3 moved to authorize the town clerk to advertise sealed bids for NYSERDA-funded projects at highway buildings, listing four work items recommended by an energy study: building airflow reduction; insulate building envelope; install insulated doors; and install double glazing. Bids are due Jan. 6, 2026, at 10 a.m. to Town Clerk Carol Mackin at 1215 Center Road or via email to townofclerk@clintondcny.gov; awards will be made at the Jan. 13, 2026, regular town board meeting to the lowest responsible bidder.
Funding notes: Speakers said the projects are covered by NYSERDA grants and related study funds; speakers approximated a remaining pool of roughly $55,000 available for these measures after prior expenditures on energy studies.
What’s next: The town clerk will accept sealed bids through Jan. 6, 2026; separate procurements may be run for individual measures and different vendors can be used for separate work items.
