The presenter said some devices will be retained on campus to protect inventory and testing devices will be kept separate from general use devices.
Facilities: Trustees authorized the superintendent to execute a facilities use agreement with the Alice Multiuse Complex/Alice City Waterhub for continued use of aquatic facilities at the same annual cost as prior years ($60,000). The board confirmed the contract length is one year.
Procurement: The board also approved joining the Harris County Department of Education Choice Partners Purchasing Cooperative to broaden procurement options and remain in compliance with state procurement rules.
Each item passed after motion and second. District staff said the Chromebook distribution will be determined by campus need and enrollment, and that replacement devices will be prioritized for the most damaged units.
