Kayla, parks and recreation supervisor, briefed the commission on contest logistics: commission members will board the town bus at Town Hall at 5:30 p.m. to review participating homes and businesses, cast votes that staff will tally, and the town will post results to Facebook with the winner announced at the Appearance Commission meeting on Dec. 15. “We plan to conduct the ride along on Monday, December 8 at 05:30,” Kayla said, adding that the winners will be posted online the next day.
On budget planning, planning staff reminded the commission that budget season is approaching and asked members to identify projects to request in the FY26-27 cycle, suggesting options such as façade improvement programs or disaster-resilience matching funds for renovations. Staff cautioned that some past project ideas may not have been carried forward during staff transitions and encouraged commissioners to resubmit projects they want considered.
