Board approves consent agenda and several policies for first reading, votes 9–0
Summary

The Tredyffrin-Easttown School Board approved its consent agenda and advanced several district policies on first reading during its Nov. 24 meeting.
After a brief consent-agenda motion, President Kantorsik called a voice vote and recorded the consent agenda as approved, 9–0. Later in the meeting, the board considered policies recommended for first reading: Policy 31.60 (transfer of funds within the budget), Policy 31.80 (capital projects fund, nonbond funds), Policy 31.81 (capital projects fund, bond funds), Policy 31.85 (fund balances management), Policy 32.31 (federal fiscal compliance), Policy 32.92 (investments), and Policy 61.30 (curriculum materials and resource materials).
Vice President Susan Audrain explained that several finance-related policies (31.60, 31.70, 31.80, 31.81) are being repealed or consolidated into Policy 31.85; the federal-compliance policy updates reflect changes to federal requirements; investment regulations were clarified to reflect current laws; and Policy 61.30 enables the administration to make summer purchases of supplemental curricular materials when the board is not meeting.
The board voted on the policies by voice vote and recorded the motion as passing 9–0. No members of the public spoke on these items during the consent-agenda comment period.
