Athletic fields, Bearhill project and renovation bids updated in facilities report

The Tredyffrin-Easttown School District facilities committee reported progress and change orders for multiple construction projects at the Nov. 24 board meeting.
Dr. Robert Singh said two bid packages for summer 2026 projects were discussed: an HVAC package that was approximately 4% over budget at $1,906,000 and a second package for interior and exterior renovations that came in about 21% under budget at $1,492,000. Singh reported the athletic-field project has made substantial progress: turf fields 1 and 2, track and tennis courts are complete; the softball field and base paving for roadways and parking are finished; PennDOT-required work on Cassatt, Irish and Old State roads is ongoing.
Singh outlined three change orders for the site work: PennDOT-required work on Cassatt Road (~$24,758), a swing-gate access at 312 Cassatt Road ($5,648) and sideline ball-stopper netting for turf field 1 ($37,323). On the Bearhill Elementary adaptive-reuse site, a void discovered below an existing concrete slab required a remediation change order of about $13,000 and a dumpster-enclosure wall change order of roughly $9,000. The committee said site photos and drone overviews are available on the district website.
