Commission approves subcommittee to explore regional coordination with RTC

The commission approved formation of a three-person subcommittee to examine regional coordination mechanisms in the Truckee Meadows Regional Plan and prepare recommendations for the commission. Staff (Jeremy Smith) explained subcommittees normally include the current chair, vice chair and immediate past chair to ensure representation of all three jurisdictions; the subcommittee will hold public meetings and bring recommendations back to the full commission.
A motion to form the subcommittee was made and Commissioner Manny Becerra seconded; the commission approved the motion by voice vote. Staff said it will schedule the first public subcommittee meeting and notify the commission.
