Commission told incentive payouts hinge on completed call logs as roster verification proceeds

Oconee County emergency services leaders told commissioners the department's incentive payout process is awaiting completed call entries and roster verification, and that finance cannot cut checks until call totals are 100% complete.
Speaker 4 said he pulled rosters from fire, rescue and hazmat showing "right at 398 volunteers" and that on the first run "we have about 200 that have qualified." He said some records still show missing CPR classes or mismatches between roster entries and system data, which must be resolved before finance will process incentive checks.
"I can't push out to the finance department to cut checks until I get the call totals 100% completed," he said. He asked squads to finish outstanding call entries and solicited chiefs' assistance; if the information is submitted by Monday he said HR/finance could key numbers quickly and checks could be issued in two days.
The incentive committee previously decided to reuse last year's criteria for this incentive period but without requiring ICS training; final implementation details were left to the incoming commission and committee appointees.
No formal motion or vote occurred on incentive funding at this meeting; commissioners were briefed and asked to ensure chiefs and squads complete outstanding documentation so eligible members receive credit.
