Citing a conversation with 9‑1‑1 director Allen Wells, Speaker 3 said the 9‑1‑1 operation had "no intention" of suing and that earlier inquiries were exploratory. “Saint Francis County 9 1 1 is not attempting to sue Saint Francis County for Prop P,” he said.
Commissioners also discussed the county’s share of marijuana tax revenue. Speaker 6 said it appears likely the county can retain the portion received before revenue stacking ends but recommended not spending the funds immediately. "Let's sit out there and let it earn interest," Speaker 6 said, urging the county to escrow the receipts in case a repayment obligation arises later.
The commission did not take further formal action on Prop P revenue or litigation during the session; commissioners said they would monitor developments and keep funds in escrow until legal and revenue stacking questions are resolved.
