Pulaski fire department avoids ISO retrograde; board hears police training travel report

City staff told the board Nov. 25 that an adverse ISO (Insurance Services Office) retrograde status flagged in an earlier audit has been removed, allowing the city to maintain its previous ISO standing.
Staff credited recent personnel hires and operational adjustments for the improvement. "They've taken the retrogradation off of our status, and we're actually gonna be able to stay on board," staff said, noting the result is beneficial for insurance rates and other purposes.
Separately, the board recorded two police training trips to the Tennessee Narcotics Officers Association and roughly $3,000 in related travel costs; police turned in receipts for reimbursement.
Next steps: continue staffing and operational efforts to sustain the ISO standing; process and reimburse police departmental travel per policy.
