Rhinebeck’s Planning Board on Dec. 1 approved several procedural items and paperwork-only extensions and scheduled follow-ups for January.
Staff described two administrative extension requests: Rock Ledge seeks an extension of its site-plan approval for a previously approved 36-unit multi-family project because paperwork and signature submission remain outstanding; the board voted to extend the site-plan approval to align with the project's special-use permit schedule. The KPH 2 miniature-train project likewise received a site-plan extension to align its site-plan deadline with a special-use permit expiring July 21, 2026.
The board also approved posting a planning-calendar with tentative dates and agreed to finalize one meeting date after staff confirms school postings. Several public hearings (including Cleo Sullivan’s minor subdivision and a residential renovation) were continued to Jan. 6, 2026 so applicants can submit requested documentation and staff can receive consultant review letters.
Other procedural actions: the board agreed to forward revised submissions to its consulting engineer (CPL) so technical reviews can begin ahead of substantive hearings, and it referred a barn-addition ZBA matter for variance consideration.
The actions taken were procedural and did not authorize new construction beyond prior approvals; the board asked applicants to supply outstanding materials before the Jan. 6 meeting.
