St. Clair Shores council recognizes Kiwanis donation and proclaims 30th Senior Health & Wellness Expo a success

During the Nov. 17 meeting the council paused for community recognitions. Henry Bowman introduced members of the Loch Saint Clair Kiwanis Club and presented a $2,000 check to Cops for Kids from the group's bike fest, and announced a Kiwanis social and gift drive planned for the following evening.
The council also read a proclamation honoring the Assumption Cultural Center's 30th annual Health and Wellness Senior Expo, held Oct. 16, 2025. Joan, representing the Assumption Cultural Center committee, thanked volunteers and said the event produced a resource guide and monthly programming; she told council the expo had “about 7 or 800 this year.” Several committee members and volunteers were introduced, and officials praised the event's role in connecting seniors with health and community resources.
Councilmembers expressed appreciation for the Kiwanis and the Assumption Cultural Center for community service and volunteer efforts.
