Chairman Beatty and other commissioners praised Kaufman's influence on local projects, including efforts on mental‑health services (commissioners referenced a proposed $100 million, 104‑bed mental‑health hospital) and Comcare's move toward a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic model. Commissioners moved to receive and file the recognition; the motion passed unanimously.
