York County Council on Dec. 1 held and closed public hearings on multiple rezoning requests and approved first readings on each. Staff summarized each site and recommended approval based on alignment with the comprehensive plan and planning commission recommendations. The cases included requests to rezone rural properties for small subdivision lots, to add a small commercial sliver into a shopping center and to convert legacy UD lots to residential zoning.
Two items listed on the agenda (items 5 and 6) were withdrawn and the council acknowledged those withdrawals. Council voted by voice in favor of the first‑reading rezoning motions as presented.
