At its December meeting, the Town of Indian Trail council administered the oath of office to re-elected council member Tom Ambergue and to newly seated council member Marcus McIntyre.
Marcus McIntyre thanked family and supporters in brief remarks and pledged "integrity, transparency, and unwavering dedication" to residents as he begins his term.
The council then reorganized its representation to regional bodies. Council member Marcus McIntyre nominated Clarence Ossabrooks for mayor pro tem; the council approved the nomination unanimously. Clarence was also appointed as the town’s primary delegate to the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization (CRTPO) and Crystal Puholic was appointed as the Centralina Regional Council delegate with Clarence named alternate; both actions passed unanimously.
The council approved the consent agenda earlier in the meeting, and the mayor publicly thanked outgoing council member Dennis Gay in absentia. After a brief closed session under N.C.G.S. §143-318.11(a)(6) for personnel matters, the council scheduled a special meeting for Thursday, Dec. 18 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting concluded with a unanimous motion to adjourn.
No contested votes or amendments were recorded on those items during the public meeting.
