Resolution 2025‑38 expressed the board's gratitude to Wythe County Sheriff's Deputies Christopher L. Reeves and Lucas A. Brewer and Virginia State Trooper Randy B. Mullins for their actions during a multi‑vehicle fire on Oct. 15, 2025. The resolution described their conduct as ‘‘swift and courageous’’ and authorized presentation of the resolution to the officers.
Both resolutions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote during the meeting; the board presented the honors in open session and noted the measures would be included in the minutes.
