City staff presented a resolution requesting Municipal Council support for Coop JC LLC’s application to operate a Class 5 retail cannabis business at 306 Manhattan Avenue. Staff told the caucus the business received Cannabis Control Board approval on July 22, 2024 and received local zoning approval on Oct. 27, 2025.

According to the presenter, the site previously operated as an auto repair shop and there are no distance conflicts with other restricted uses. The resolution as presented is routine local support used to accompany a state license application; no vote took place during the caucus.

Council members asked clarifying questions about the location and neighbors but raised no formal objections during the caucus.
