In addition to major items, the Anacortes City Council on Dec. 15 took several administrative and procurement actions.
- The council adopted Resolution 3197 to reject all bids received on Dec. 2 for the Public Safety Building air-conditioning replacement project after staff said the sole bid used a refrigerant listed by the state as prohibited or being phased out; staff said they will seek additional bids and consult industry experts.
- The council authorized the mayor to sign Amendment 1 to the interlocal agreement with the Skagit Conservation District to update NPDES Phase 2 outreach task titles and wording to align with current permit terminology; staff said no new costs or tasks were added.
- The council authorized contract 25-293-FBR-001 with Mobile Communications America Inc. to provide wireless services and related solutions to support the city's Nokia fiber backbone via a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing agreement.
- A consent agenda of routine items (6a'i) was approved by voice vote.
