At its Dec. 15 meeting the Homewood Elementary School District 153 Board of Education presented the Jerry Warren Educational Excellence Award to Jody Dunn, the district’s accounts payable manager.

An administrator (Speaker 5) described Dunn’s more than 25 years with the district, her long history of institutional knowledge, and her role as a dependable backup in payroll, personnel and budgeting functions. Board secretary (Speaker 6) read a resolution recognizing Dunn’s dedication; the resolution was adopted unanimously. The administrator noted that Dunn’s husband, Mike, attended the meeting to celebrate the recognition.

Why it matters: The Jerry Warren award is an internal district recognition highlighting long service and contributions that support school operations. The board’s unanimous adoption of a resolution publicly records the district’s appreciation.
