The Avon Town Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 2025-28 on final reading to add a stop sign at Pine Tree Estates and to reduce speed limits at several locations recommended by the public works department.
Town staff said the reductions were supported by traffic studies and 85th-percentile speed data, not made arbitrarily. "They're not just randomly done," a staff presenter said, noting the department follows accepted traffic-study methodologies to set speed limits.
Council members moved and seconded adoption with no substantive discussion; the ordinance passed on roll call.
