An unidentified commissioner moved that the county approve NAMI’s request to change a courthouse-lawn event date from May 23 to May 27; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Commissioners reported external meetings: a West Central meeting and a Wabansi meeting where the board’s opioid-report work was discussed. The board noted the opioid report will be turned over to the auditor’s office and that the report is due Dec. 1. Board members said the county has spent about $5,000 of opioid funds previously for advertising and that no further opioid expenditures have been made in recent years.
The board agreed to begin budget work sessions and to invite the sheriff to discuss a proposed canine program. Commissioners also agreed to place Kelsey (from Farnsworth, referenced earlier in the meeting) on a future agenda to discuss courthouse growth.
The board approved the November 18 meeting minutes, set the next meeting for the following Tuesday, and then adjourned on a motion and second.
