John Huff, representing MidAmerican Energy, updated the board that 8 of the 10 electrical circuits were energized and that the company expects all 10 to be energized by the end of the week. Huff said the crane work and laydown-yard demobilization are underway as components are removed.
Huff said the project's transformer has been delayed in transit and "has gone to every wrong place in the world," most recently reported in Kansas City. He said crews are working to get the transformer to Page County and that MidAmerican is monitoring the delivery timeline.
Board members asked about the transformer's status and the schedule; Huff acknowledged the delay and reiterated the expectation that the transformer would arrive and remaining circuits would be energized within the week.
