County jail construction progressing; generators and HVAC equipment arriving

Jeff Curtis, the project representative on the county jail build, told the board that work is progressing on schedule. Masons have completed work in the booking area and are finishing the maximum-security line, with that phase expected to be complete shortly after Thanksgiving. Curtis said electricians already have permanent power in the building and that switch gear and generator components are on site.
Curtis said the project received two 1,000-gallon LP tanks and multiple indirect-fire heaters, each "roughly about 400,000 BTU," and that the team has rooftop air-handler and RTU units staged for installation. Generators are "slated for delivery December," Curtis said, adding that the generator pad layout and encasement work are planned to meet code requirements.
Curtis invited board members to tour the site next week and said some exterior paving work will be deferred until spring; he also said the project continues to operate under a construction contingency fund intended to address potential tariff or material-cost impacts.
