Council also proclaimed the World Day of Remembrance for pedestrians and bicyclists killed or seriously injured on city streets and read names of victims from the past year. Speakers from the Active Transportation Advisory Committee highlighted the city—s commitment to a Vision 0 plan to reduce road deaths.
Later in the meeting, the council recognized Sikh Heritage Month with proclamations and invited community leaders to receive certificates.
