Commission approves proposed 2026 park shelter fee option to adopt in rec guide

Staff said weekday and weekend fee differentiation was not included due to administrative complexity. The packet contained multiple options; staff clarified an error in the display of Option 1 and explained Option 1 would represent a 50% increase for nonresidents while Option 2 contained only modest adjustments (including Lakeview indoor/outdoor adjustments for utilities and cleaning). A commissioner moved to recommend Option 2 and the commission approved the motion by voice vote.
Staff said the recommended fee schedule will be finalized for inclusion in the fall–winter recreation guide and that staff aim to have the guide-ready language for publication by Nov. 10.
